Recurring events allow you to create events on a specific interval, which can be great for things like monthly all-hands or bi-weekly syncs. This is a beta feature that we're continually improving, so please read on for details and let us know if you have any feedback!

How Recurring Events Work

Recurring events serve as a template for future events that will be created automatically. In a given event series, as soon as the first event concludes, the system will automatically create the next event and add whoever is on the guest list.

Creating Recurring Events

When you create an event, you'll see the option to "Recur" and specify the interval. This will do two things:

  • An event will be created for this date and time (just like any other event)

  • A recurring event template will be created that will serve as the basis for future events in the series

Editing Recurring Events

In your Community Admin view, you'll see two tab options:

  • Events tab will show events that have already been created and guests are able to RSVP to them

  • Recurring tab will show the recurring event template that will serve as the basis for future events that will be created

When you edit the details of a recurring event, it will only affect future events, and will not alter any already existing events. You can edit any of the details including which guests will be invited to future events. When you edit an existing event instance, it will update just that one event and will not affect other events in the series.

Canceling Recurring Events

When you edit a recurring event, you'll see an option to delete the event in the bottom left corner of the admin panel. This will not delete any existing events that have already been created.
